About Little Fox Market

We are a boutique artisan market, offering beautiful products you won’t find on the high street!

Little Fox Market offers a great mix of stalls and undiscovered gems based on our philosophy of handmade, homemade products. The market has something for everyone, providing you with a unique shopping experience.

Every month we bring together a selection of hand picked stalls including arts and crafts and delicious food stalls. We believe this creates a great atmosphere within the market and crucially supports local businesses… isn’t it nice to know that you have been a part of supporting the local economy!

Little Fox Market originally started in 2011 in the back of The Fox & Hounds public house (hence the name!) on the high street in Rickmansworth.  In order to allow for more stall holders to join, the previous owners moved the market to where we now find ourselves in St Mary’s Church Centre. Having successfully run a number of markets based on the handmade, homemade principle, I was looking for an opportunity to expand this idea to additional locations. This led me to Little Fox which I took ownership of in January 2016, since when I have been updating the website, social media links, signage and posters. I have also added new market locations in Amersham and Gerrards Cross with the potential for more to come.

In addition, Little Fox Market can also provide a ‘pop up’ market at your event… we can handle more than one event on any day too! This has previously included ‘pop up’ markets at St Clement Danes School, Croxley Green Christmas evening, Woodoaks Association, Rickmansworth French Market, Rickmansworth Christmas Evening, Cedars Village as well as several markets running at Cassiobury Park and Watford High Street. The ‘pop up’ markets will continue this year, and details for each of these will be added to the list below as they are booked. Please do get in touch if you would like a ‘pop up’ market at your event.

Entrance to Little Fox Markets is free, and the majority of our venues are inside which makes them all-weather events!

Venues

Little Fox Market – Amersham

Where

We are situated in the Alfred Ellis Hall in Amersham Free Church, Woodside Rd, Amersham, Buckinghamshire, HP6 6AJ.

When

We are briefly introducing ourselves on Saturday March 12th and Saturday April 9th before returning on the 4th Saturday of every month from June until November.

The dates for 2016 are as follows: April 9th, June 25th, July 23rd, Aug 27th, Sept 24th, Oct 22nd, Nov 26th.

What time

The market runs between 10am and 3pm.

Parking

There is a limited amount of parking directly behind the hall in the church car park; alternatively there is extensive parking in the town.

Little Fox Market – Peterley Manor Farm

Where

We are situated in the glasshouses behind the farm shop at Peterley Manor Farm, Peterley Lane, Prestwood, Great Missenden, HP16 0HH. 

When

For its 3rd successive year Peterley returns on the last weekend of November.

The dates for 2016 are as follows: Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th November.

What time

The market runs between 10am & 5pm.

Parking

There is parking at the front of the farm shop, and during busy times 4×4’s may be asked to park on the field.

Stallholder Information

We are always on the look out for new Stallholders, so if you think you fit the bill, contact us and let us know who you are and what you sell. Please be advised that we are very proud of our handmade, homemade ethic and unfortunately at this time we can’t accommodate any stallholders that don’t fall in to this category. Should this change the website will be updated immediately.

Stallholder FAQs

What does Handmade, Homemade mean?

It means that you have produced the goods yourself and they are sold by you.

Our customers love to meet the people who have made the products – you!

Do I need any documentation?

In order to join our markets we require you to have public liability insurance and, where relevant, food hygiene certs.

If you are thinking of attending your first market with Little Fox, and would like advice on how to obtain the correct documentation, please contact us and we will do all we can to help you.

How many stalls do you have at each venue?

We aim for between 15 and 30 – this is very dependent on venue. (i.e at Rickmansworth we generally have around 20. St Clement Danes School pop up we had 70!)

What time do the markets run? What time is set up?

This varies from venue to venue, set up is approx. 1.5 / 2 hours before opening time.

Do I need to provide my own table and chairs?

This is very dependent on the venue – you will be advised when you book whether you need to provide your own.

How big will my pitch be?

This varies slightly from venue to venue, but always big enough for a standard 6ft table.

Can I choose my pitch?

The pitch layout is dependent on which stallholders we have on site that day, so the layout is decided by Little Fox and is not changeable.

Can I have a pitch with electricity?

We cannot guarantee electricity at any venue, should you find an empty plug socket near you then you have got lucky, unfortunately we have to say no electricity.

Is there wifi on site?

Unfortunately none of our sites have wifi for stall holders.

Where can I park?

Please see our Venues section to see about venue parking. Occasionally at some venues we ask stallholders to park in a different location to allow for customer parking. You will be informed of this before you book your pitch.
